House Industries is one the coolest, slickest, uncompromising type foundries on the planet. Their aesthetic breathes progressive, inimitable life into the world of design and their uncompromising approach stretches its hand into the sonic influence of Mattson 2. Oh, they are also our good friends and we have had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with them in the past on their projects with Herman Miller and Heath Ceramics (in Los Angeles). Recently, on April 18th, Mattson 2 had the pleasure of doing a collaborative performance for them at the San Francisco Heath Ceramics Store where they launched new collaborative clock pieces with the equally adventurous and inspiring creative entity, Heath Ceramics.
Aside from the vibrations that happen in your inner ear from decibels and frequencies, sound causes physical repercussions but it is not tangible in the physical form. We were stoked to contribute our art, our sound, our image, our aesthetic, our vision to House & Heaths physical, tangible beauty. The vibe was living and breathing. The sound penetrated the room and the bodies of people surrounding us… Stayed tuned for further celebrations and collaborations with friends of Mattson 2.
